@terrymp1091 That is really beside the point. Yes, he gets paid well as he should for being a voice for the voiceless. Ceo of Mercedes gets paid extremely well to and has gotten raises in the last couple of years that you or I will never see in a lifetime. But I will bet money when the next economic downturn hits if they won't drag employees along and hold many on long term temporary status for years or put them through more struggles just to save a couple of extra bucks, while the CEO gets yet another incredible raise. Also don't forget, Tax payers spent over $250 million to bring Mercedes to the state. It was so much money that legislatures rob pension and education funds to pay out to Mercedes just to bring them into the state, and it took over 20 years to break even on the deal. You remember that? Ivey has made enormous amount of money off the BCA and convincing you that you don't deserve a fair share, so keep thinking what the UAW president makes is what actually matters.
UAW workers build the vehicles to generate revenue genius. the UAW president gets paid nothing compared to the CEOs that run these auto co.

@wolfee904 Adjusted for inflation, $25/hour in 2024 would have been about $12/hour in the mid/late 80s. That means that any auto worker in the mid/late 80's that made over $12/hour was severely overpaid? That would be all of them then.
You'd be shocked to know. Picture paying someone $35 an hour and their only discernable skill is timing that plastic pop rivet into the hole as the body goes by, and that's what they get. Meanwhile, Police and actual Skilled Labor are paid less- thanks to the do nothing but count money union reps and leaders. Talk about a scam.
